UL vs FM - what the ratings mean
UL (Underwriters Laboratories) provides a listing/rating path for smoke vents and components so they operate as intended. FM (Factory Mutual) is a rating for products that meet Factory Mutual standards and is often required when a building is FM-insured or must meet FM criteria (Ask Our Experts).
