How commercial skylight distributors differ from manufacturers
A manufacturer quotes its own line. A distributor can put several lines side by side, so the choice comes down to what your project needs: FM approval, HVHZ or Florida approval, a lower U-factor, or a size that fits the curbs already on the roof. If the first choice cannot meet your schedule, we can look at another line that fits the same opening.
One supplier for the whole roof opening
A skylight project usually needs more than the skylight. We quote these together so the sizes match:
- Roof curbs: skylight and smoke vent curbs from AES and Curbs Plus.
- Smoke vents: UL-listed and FM-rated smoke vents that fit the same openings.
- Fall protection: skylight screens, cages and guards sized to the curb, including Safety Rail Source screens.
- Roof access: roof hatches and safety railings from Bilco, Babcock Davis and Dur-Red, plus ladders and guardrails from Kattsafe.
