VELUX Commercial skylights and smoke vents from Logistics Lighting

VELUX Commercial builds the Dynamic Dome, a double-glazed curb-mount skylight designed to harvest low-angle morning and afternoon sun, along with matching smoke vents, curbs and safety screens. The former Wasco commercial skylight line is now part of VELUX, so if you are replacing Wasco units this is the page to start from. Logistics Lighting distributes the VELUX commercial range listed above, quotes it against your curb dimensions, and ships direct from the factory.

What we carry from VELUX

Dynamic Dome skylights (CMD2). A LuxGuard double dome with a clear UV-guard polycarbonate outer layer over white prismatic polycarbonate, FM approved, on a thermally broken aluminum frame. VELUX offers the widest size range in our catalog, from the CMD2 2448 and 3636 through the 4848, 4872, 4896, 6060 and 6072 up to the CMD2 7272. The X1P2 versions, such as the CMD2 4848 X1P2 and 3696 X1P2, are LuxGuard PLUS units with hurricane and Florida approvals. The E2A1M versions (4896, 4848) use EcoSky Satin Sky glazing over clear acrylic.

Smoke vents. The ULSV2DCM 4896S2E (360 F link) and ULSV2DCM 4896S2F (370 F link) are UL-listed double-dome vents with exterior manual release. The CSOS shrink-out line is a melt-out dome with no mechanism, in 4848, 4872 and 4896, plus the UL-listed 4896 version. Melt-out vents take exterior screens only; the operable ULSV2 takes interior screens only.

Curbs and screens. The CCAM 4896 is a pre-insulated 12 inch aluminum curb for the 48 x 96 opening, and the CAV 4896 is a louvered ventilation curb extension. Exterior screens are the CAE 4896, CAE 4848, CAE 6060 and the CAES 4896 and CAES 4872 sized for the CSOS vents; interior screens are the CRGA 4896 and CRGA 4872.

Warranty and project support

Through Logistics Lighting, the Dynamic Dome is available with a 20-year warranty that runs five years past the standard VELUX term, which lets a roofing manufacturer wrap skylights and membrane into a single warranty. Where VELUX fits in our catalog

Choose VELUX when you need a size the other lines do not make, a Florida or hurricane approval, or the extended warranty. For prismatic glazing with FM and HVHZ ratings on the most common sizes, compare Sunoptics; for triple-glazed units, Kingspan Light + Air. Steel curbs from AES Industries are available with a screen set low for the VELUX vent mechanism.
