KATTGUARD GR34 FREESTANDING ALUMINUM 12' GUARDRAIL

The Kattsafe KattGuard GR34 is a freestanding, non-penetrating guardrail for membrane and built-up roofs. Plastic-coated steel weighted bases sit on the roof surface, so the system protects a roof edge, a skylight bank or a rooftop equipment area without a single fastener through the membrane. This 12 foot kit is the starting unit: it ships with the rail sections, two 5 foot returns, base pads, the installation tool kit and manual, and it extends with additional sections and corner kits. Where the GR34 fits

Use GR34 where a permanent guardrail is needed but the roof cannot be penetrated: around a group of skylights or smoke vents, along a roof edge near equipment that needs regular service, or at a ladder landing. Frequently asked questions

How long a run can one kit make? This kit covers 12 feet of protected edge plus the two returns. Longer runs add rail sections and bases at 10 foot centers.

Do I always need the returns? Yes. Kattsafe requires a 90 degree return at each end of any freestanding run regardless of length.

Is it heavy to place? The bases carry the weight of the system; the aluminum rails are light. Kattsafe recommends a competent installer follow the manual for base placement.
