The Kattsafe KG is a roof hatch guardrail that clamps to the hatch flange instead of bolting through it. Because nothing is drilled into the hatch or the roof, it fits most existing hatches from any manufacturer without touching the roofing warranty, and Kattsafe rates the installation at minutes with basic tools. It is a fixed, permanent guardrail that meets OSHA 1910.28 for rooftop openings, with an optional self-closing gate. - Clamping installation. An 80 mm aluminum extrusion base frame connects to the hatch through the flange with the supplied hardware; no drilling.

KG or the manufacturer's own rail?
Bilco and Babcock Davis each make a rail that bolts to their own hatch flashing: the RL2-S for the S-20 and the SRCAY36X30FG for the BG3630. Choose the KG when the hatch is another make, when the flashing will not accept a bolted rail, or when you want one rail model across a portfolio of buildings. Pair it with a ladder safety post such as the LU-1 or BSPY.
